By using this Website and the services we offer through it, you expressly consent to and accept these Terms & Conditions. If you wish to be not bound by these Terms & Conditions you must stop using our services. These Terms & Conditions will continue to apply to your previous use of the services.
Our Website allows you to earn cash by selling us your old mobile phones, game consoles, game discs, MP3 players, cameras, tablets, books and other gadgets for cash. We accept both working and defective items. Our Website contains details of products we accept and the prices we offer.
You may place an order with us through our online checkout process. To place an order you must enter the brand name and name of the product or model and the condition of the item that you want to sell. To complete the ordering process, you must also provide your full name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address and choose a payment method and postage method. You may also chose to register on our Website to save time in filling out form and for a more personalized experience on our Website.
Once you place an order, we send you an email acknowledgement containing the details of the product(s) you have agreed to sell and the price we will pay you. We will send you a receipt confirmation email upon receiving your package(s) for your order .

All payments made by us are through the payment method you choose at the time of placing the order (or in your account settings, if you open an account on our Website). At present we pay through bank transfers (BACS) and by posting cheques. We also provide you with the option to directly donate the value you earn from the sale of your products to certain charities. However, we reserve the right to (i) change available payment methods on the Website, and (ii) pay you through any other payment method, that is commercially reasonable for us.
If you have opted for our post and redeem service and do not receive the postage reimbursement with your payment, please contact us with your account number and sort code as we will pay you via BACS TRANSFER ONLY.
You are responsible for paying all taxes and duties for the sale of items between you send us. All other payment obligations that you give rise to by selling the items to us, such as fees levied by your bank for receiving payment from us, shall be borne by you.
In most cases, all payments are made within ten (10) business days of completing our evaluation process or your acceptance of the result of our evaluation, whichever later. However, payment may get delayed due to circumstances beyond our control or for other business reasons. If payments are delayed, we shall notify you by email of the date by which we will pay you.
The bank transfer payments will be made to the account details given at the time of placing the order online. Recall or Reissue of bank transfer payments is not possible under any circumstances.
We cannot be held responsible for any payment delays caused by invalid account details provided by the customer. In such case you will be requested via email to provide correct account details so that we can proceed with your payment.
We can process recycle orders sent from outside of the UK if customers are happy to receive payment into their UK bank account as we cannot process payments to banks based outside of the UK.
When you register with us or place an order with us, you need to provide us your name and address, and on that name and address, the cheque will be posted.
Customer is responsible for providing correct postal address on which they would like to receive their payment via cheque. We are also not responsible for any postal delays caused by postal services.
Unfortunately if you have damaged your cheque , we can reissue it for you without any additional charges. You just need to post a written request with your order details and include the damaged cheque to:

However, please note that if the damaged cheque is not received by us, the cheque will be cancelled and a cancelation fee will be deducted from the reissued cheque.
In case you have lost your cheque, you can also request for the cancelation of and reissuance of the cheque. A fee applies upon cancellation and it will be deducted from the re-issued cheque
You acknowledge that our decision based on evaluation and testing of your item is final. If after evaluating your item we find that the description provided by you at the time of placing the order match the item sent to us, we may notify you by email of the result of our evaluation and pay you through your choice of payment method.
If after evaluating and testing your item we find that brand name or the name of the product or model or the condition of the item you specified at the time of placing the order does not match the item sent to us, we may notify you by email of the result of our evaluation and the price we offer for such an item. If you do not agree to our evaluation, you can email or call us asking us to return the item at our expense. However, the case is not same with Apple and latest Samsung devices that have iCloud or Google Account active as we charge £15 to return such devices. If you accept the result of our evaluation, please email or call us notifying your acceptance to receive payment.
We will also return the item to you at our expense after notifying you by email, if the item sent to us is (a) of a model or brand that we do not accept, and (b) a spurious item.
We charge £15.00 to return devices if any of the following criteria meets:
1. If for any reason, you want your item(s) back even when we have offered the price that was quoted.
2. If the device(s) you sent us is found to be different from the one you initially placed in your order, and you ask for it be to returned for any reason; as it is not our responsibility to select correct phone while placing an order.
3. If the device(s) you have sent us is faulty/damaged and you initially selected the device's condition as Used.
Multiple orders placed by an individual customer and sent in to us within a week's time will be checked in & considered as one single order.
We do not accept lost, stolen or barred phone or devices. All devices received are checked using CheckMEND (www.checkmend.com). CheckMEND is an online database of lost and stolen property. If we find that the item you send us is a stolen item, we will neither pay you, nor return the item to you, unless you provide us documentation from law enforcement agencies in support of your proof of ownership. We reserve the right to return stolen items sent to us to their rightful owners or to submit stolen items to law enforcement agencies or disposed of.
If any phone/device is recorded as been stolen or lost, you will receive an email to inform you of any such records and the phone/device will be set on quarantine period for 28 days. During this period, you are advised to contact CheckMEND and prove yourself as the rightful owner of the phone/device. After the phone/device is declared as clear from CheckMEND , your order will proceed as normal and you will be paid under normal circumstances. But however, if the phone/device is not stated as clear during the 28 days quarantine period, then the phone/device will be disposed of as required under law and you will not receive any payments.
Please note that, before testing any electronic gadget such as mobile phones or mp3 players we erase any or all data stored in the device. By sending an item to us you authorise us to: (i) test and evaluate the item, and (ii) erase all data from the item. You are responsible for creating backup copies of data stored in the item before sending it to us. By sending us an item you agree to not hold us liable for loss of data caused by our evaluation process.
If we are experiencing a large amount of backlog (during events such as christmas or after christmas, we receive a huge number of parcels and therefore a lot of backlog) some orders may take upto 7 days to be processed.

Please note that if your item does not meet our terms and conditions, a revised price or actual worth will be offered for that item(s) via email. If you are not satisfied with the offered prices, just reply back to the email you have received from us or call us and you will receive your item back free of charge. However, if a response or reply is not received within 14 days of us sending you offer email, the orders will be automatically processed for payment on the new offered price.
We do not accept any products at prices other than those set out on our Website. Our Website sets out the prices we offer for recently bought items that have not suffered any damage. When we receive your item, we thoroughly test it to evaluate its condition. Based on our evaluation, we deduct a percentage from the prices we offer based on the condition of the item. In case of mobile phones, we make deductions based on the following metrics:
Visible marks or scratches on the fascia;
Parts of the fascia missing; or
Vibration not functional
Damaged connections; or
Scratches and dents on/around screen
Camera not functional and cosmetic damages;

Please note that this list is exhaustive and PhoneRecyclers.co.uk retains the right to make any necessary changes in it whenever required. Also note that we do accept chargers and other accessories such as USB cable, earphones etc, but they do not increase the value of your phone/device.
We also have the right to reduce the price or send back the phone if the price offered on our website is unrealistically high.

You agree that postal expenses in respect of items sent by self-post shall be borne by you. Except as set out above, we will not be liable to pay any postal charges and will not reimburse you for expenses incurred by you in connection with sending us any item that you order. You agree to reimburse us and bear the cost of returning items sent to us by you if (i) you request us to return the item, (ii) the item you send us is (a) of a model or brand that we do not accept, (b) a spurious item, or (c) a stolen item.

When tracing your order through Royal Mail Tracking service please ensure that a signature is showcased when the delivery status is "Delivered". This is so that we can confirm that it has reached our premises and is not at our local royal mail depot.
We do not take responsibility if your parcel has been delivered to an incorrect address by Royal Mail. Please check with our customer service team that it has been delivered to our premises and has been signed for by one of our warehouse operatives. It can take upto 14 working days for you to receive your package back via tracked postal service. We will not be held responsible if there is no one to sign & collect the parcel. Returned parcel's tracking number can be obtained via email from our customer service.
It can take upto more than 14 working days to return items if it is a busy season of the year.
Please note that in case customer does not remove iCloud/Google Account within 14 days of iCloud/Google Account removal email sent out or fails to remove iCloud/Google Account within 14 days, the phone will be disposed off and PhoneRecyclers would not be held liable for the return of phone.

Please be careful that it is a condition of sale to remove all the memory cards and SIM cards from the mobile handset or any other device before sending it to us. All personal data should also be erased from the phone before you send it to us. You can also use our Free Data Delete Tool and follow the steps to delete all your personal data from your mobile phone. We do not accept the responsibility of security, confidentiality, use or disclosure of any personal data that you do not erase from your phone/device. Your personal data may include contacts, videos, pictures, games, text messages etc.it is recommended to you to remove your SIM card, memory card and all other media before you send your phone/device. Please be careful that it is a fundamental provision in the agreement and upon non compulsion with these obligations you will be in a breach of agreement.
All content, including text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, and data compilations included in or made available through our Website are our intellectual property and protected by English and international copyright laws. You may not sell, use, modify or publish any content included in or made available through our Website.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all representations and warranties regarding quality, suitability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or otherwise of our services and the Website. We do not represent nor warrant that the services will be uninterrupted, error free, without delay or without compromise of the security systems related to the services or that all errors will be corrected.

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless us and/or our affiliates, agents, employees or directors from and against all losses liabilities, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Website and/or our services, breach of any warranty, representation or covenant under these Terms & Conditions by you, or due to any tortious conduct by you.
All disputes arising out of rights, liabilities and obligations under this Legal Entity Agreement between you and us shall be resolved by arbitration in Birmingham conducted by a single arbitrator as per English laws. The parties agree to waive any right of appeal against the arbitration award. The cost of arbitration (excluding attorney fees) shall be borne by the party requesting the arbitration.
